Joshua Michael Palmintier is the son of Michael Carter Palmintier – founding partner of deGravelles & Palmintier – and has been a student of the law his entire life. He officially joined the team at deGravelles and Palmintier in 1996 as a filing clerk and in 2010 Mr. Palmintier fulfilled a lifelong dream when he was made Partner.
Joshua is a native of Baton Rouge, a graduate of Catholic High School, and earned his B.A. in Philosophy at Louisiana State University. Mr. Palmintier received a Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in May of 2002.
Mr. Palmintier has developed a broad civil practice handling cases in many practice areas from auto accidents and premises liability to mass tort, class actions and multi-district litigation. Mr. Palmintier has successfully represented thousands of clients in both trial and settlement efforts. His approach to the law is client-centered, putting the client above all else. His number one goal is to make his clients happy and his greatest reward is when his clients entrust Joshua with the representation of their close friends and family members. Mr. Palmintier has also taken this approach into the Complex Litigation realm where he has been on numerous trial teams in class action and mass tort work and is currently lead counsel in the City of Walker, et al v. the State of Louisiana, et al class action litigation in which he represents thousands of clients in their claims for damages caused by flooding of the region in August 2016.
Mr. Palmintier is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Louisiana Association for Justice, where he currently serves on the Council of Directors.
